Gold, whose symbol in the table of elements is Au – initials of Aurum – is declined in pure gold, gold at 750 thousandths of gold (once said 18K gold), ormolu, gold leaf, gold plating and metallizations. These are some of the materials and finishes I normally use. I like gold in all its nuances: as a precious metal, so supple to process and almost soft to wear, and as a thin layer deposited permanently on a wrinkled surface, pure and impalpable, with an indecipherable taste, like a veil that sticks to bitter chocolate pearls. It also has an ennobling effect on plastic.
Every material is interesting to me, without limitation; there is no true or false, there is identity, with important technical and aesthetic characteristics that reveal themselves during processing.
